Yes it is posssibe to convert. However your house may need new perlins to accommodate the installation of long run roofing.

Should I replace my old roof before I put my house up for sale?

This is not necessarily a task that every homeowner needs to undertake before selling. However depending on the condition of the roof, replacing your roof before putting it on the market can certainly increase the value of your home.

How do I know if my roof needs replacing or just repairs?

Signs that your roof may need replacing include visible rust, lifted laps or nails, and the need for multiple leak repairs during wet seasons. If you notice these issues, get in touch with us.

Is there a fee for providing a quote?

There is no fee. Contact us, and our team will be in touch to arrange a suitable time to visit your property to assess your roof. We will then email you a quote so you know what to expect for your project. Once you accept the quote and our terms and conditions, we can book in a date to complete the work required.

What are your payment options?

Once the work is completed, we will send you an invoice, which must be paid in full within seven days of receipt. You can pay via the account details on this invoice. We also provide a credit card service for either MasterCard or Visa however this does incur a service charge.

What type of warranty can I expect with my new roof?

Our workmanship is covered by a 5-year warranty.

Most of our residential re-roofs and new roofs are coloursteel products. Your warranty is dependent on two factors; the location of your job (and associated environmental category) and that you maintainin your roof according to the Coloursteel maintenance recommendations. How long does a roof usually last?

The average lifespan of a roof is 20-50 years, depending on a number of factors, such as proximity to the sea and how well it is maintained over the years. We are happy to visit your site and evaluate whether you need a roof replacement or roof repairs.

How long does a re-roof take?

Depending on the size and scale of the project, it will likely take between 3 and 7 days.

Is scaffolding required when doing any roofing work?

As the home owner you are required to adhere to Work Safe health and saftey stardards; the minimum requirement is scaffolding edge protection. JP Roofing can organise this for you if you would prefer. On smaller maintenance jobs this is not required and we use harnesses to carry out work.

Do I need any special insurance when doing any roofing work?

Yes. It is a good idea to contact your insurance provider, as you may need construction contract insurance while the work is being completed.
